Return Civility: Presidential Politics

Do you admire those leaders who can debate with civility? I most definitely do. I admire a display of high standards of civility as candidates lay out their views, present verifiable facts, avoid slanting the truth into half truths and stick to the issues rather than making personal attacks. I need a leader who also is a role model for my children and all our children. Below I gave notice to the 2016 Presidential Candidates. Return of Civility by Gale [...]

Compassion, Service and Synchronicity Beyond Belief

This synchronicity story began on a typical Sunday morning when we were in the midst of renovating our bathroom. The construction worker was coming the next day to do the plumbing and we were behind schedule finding a granite countertop that had to be custom made due to the small Victorian style, older bathroom with irregular measurements. We couldn't find anyone suitable and available to help us and now, on Sunday, no store was open. Terribly frustrated, I decided to [...]

What I Learned from a Three-Year-Old: Compassion Has to be Taught

So far I have raised three children through to adulthood. I have  taught high school English and Speech Arts/Drama and coached a forensics team (Individual Events Speech Team). I taught swimming and horseback riding to youngsters of all ages and I also taught fourth grade Sunday school. I have served thousands of people, including children, as a hypnotherapist. You would think that I have seen it all by now. No, that is not really the case. Just recently, my [...]

Remember: Mental Illness is a Disease

I absolutely cringe when I hear people on TV or radio referring to mentally ill people as "evil". Mentally ill people are NOT evil. They can not control their illness. Their illness has control over them and their mental and emotional faculties. We do not judge other people who have diseases as good or evil people. Why do we do this to the mentally ill? We need to stop demonizing and denigrating those suffering from this heartbreaking disease. We must [...]

Reprogramming Hypnosis Deletes Trauma: A Young Child’s Story

One of my clients who had just recently finished reading Reprogram Your Subconscious: How to Use Hypnosis to Get What You Really Want, reported that it had opened her eyes to a whole new world of opportunities for positive change for herself as well as for her loved ones. She sent me the detailed description of what had transpired between her and her young granddaughter. She gave me permission to print it so it may help you in unlimited [...]

The Mystery of the Crystals

These are very special crystals. The far left is an amethyst that was all deep purple and then over three  years changed to multicolored. The clear crystal quartz was three-fourths clear and now has etchings, almost like ancient writing. These etchings appeared within about two-three years after I obtained the crystal. The third stone is a rainbow obsidian that at first had only six pencil thin, cream colored heart rings that covered one-third of the stone. After ten years [...]

There is Always a Choice of Which Lesson to Keep

With every experience you have, there is always a choice of which resulting lesson you may want to keep. When you choose wisely, the lesson will empower you with positive subconscious programs that support your peace of mind, harmony and balance. Choosing a lesson that creates faulty subconscious programming that supports your destructive feelings of fears, anger, resentments, guilt, sadness, anxiety, insecurity, helplessness or the like, would be an unwise choice. If you unintentionally choose unwisely, know that it [...]

How Your Family's Negativity May Strengthen You

“If you wonder why you may be surrounded by family members who oppose you and/or your views, consider it a gift that will strengthen your belief in yourself. Think of body building. When you subject your muscle to strong exercise/strain, it creates tears that signal your body to rebuild the torn muscle tissue thereby healing it. This results in your bigger, stronger muscle.” Gale Glassner Twersky If you succeed in disregarding the mean-spirited comments, harsh criticisms, jealousies and the painful [...]

How Negative Ads Trick You Subconsciously

Have you noticed lately how much money has been poured into negative advertising especially during the presidential primaries? Granted, there always have been some negative political ads used in the past. It is a "given" that political parties as well as corporate advertisers and special interest groups target TV/radio/newspaper audiences to think, feel and behave the way the ad originators intended. Yet, this year it seems the ethical standards have been lowered. One political ad I saw showed a [...]
