    This program is amazing. I was a counselor for the mentally ill for 7 years. I use meditation daily and have used some hypnotism which I wasn’t impressed with. When I bought this Audible, I wanted to see if Gale Twersky had anything better to offer. The answer to that is YES she does. I didn’t do a write up after listening to the book. It sounded great! She TEACHES how to achieve the skill of hypnosis. She is not conducting a drive by hypnosis tape. This is a learning experience. It puts the power in your hands about what you are needing in your life and what you would like to discard. Making your own script makes a HUGE difference!! I also didn’t want to presume since it sounded good, it would be good. It took me 1.5 days to make a script using Gale’s instructions. She tells you what works in a script and what doesn’t. She also explains the reasons why some words or phrases may be a problem. I have been using my hypnosis daily. I play it while I sleep. In part of my script I want to lose weight. I was very specific as to how much I wanted to lose and the timing. I have lost five pounds in 5 days. Without exercise. I have not had a “Sugar Craving” since I started this!! There are other things in my life I am working on and are included in MY script (that is the key! It’s personalized). Each morning I wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day. I haven’t felt like this in a long time. I love it. I have energy, I have hope and thanks to Gale’s instruction, My life is much more grounded. I highly recommend her work!!

    Another benefit I got out of Gale’s book, was it also helped me understand myself better and importantly better understand other people’s behavior around me. Her book explained why it made sense to forgive people who had hurt me deeply and betrayed me in the past.     I am a proponent of Hypnosis and view it as a modality that is similar to meditation. Gale Glassner Twersky makes this approach easy for everyone in her new book “How to Use Hypnosis to Get What You Really Want”. It is similar to the “Idiots Guides” in that it is extremely well written and easy to follow the technique. Gale brings together the power of affirmative prayer and hypnosis techniques that go along with the concept “change your thoughts, change your life”. This book is a winner and I would recommend it for everyone who wishes to better their life and their thought processes to get beyond obstacles and self-induced fears.     After unsuccessful attempts with “off the shelf’ subliminals, and self- hypnosis tapes, I was starting to doubt where they work at all, as I saw little difference. In this book, the author details the steps needed and walks through the mechanics of how we can reprogram our subconscious. Her mastery of English (she taught English?) makes a big difference as she is specific about the words used and how detailed it needs to be when reprogramming the subconscious. Now I understand why many of these generic hypnosis tapes do not work, as they can often be vague, generic, and not have much meaning to the subject. The author is enthusiastic about the subject and details step by step how one can reprogram the subconscious to remove past traumas and limiting beliefs. Outstanding, because these traumas can affect much more than the mind. At times, even organs can get affected from the negative programming. After reading the book, I went for consultation with her, during which she created a personalized script. She is very detailed, thorough and a pleasure to work with.

    I have been reading your book when I can and have found it very insightful and full of well written material. I expected nothing less. I like the way you present it and make it known that such therapy puts the control into our hands and that hypnosis isn’t some black magic . I think that’s why so many people don’t believe in it cause they would then have to take responsibility for their own success rather than leaving it in the hands of others. This audiobook explains the mechanism of the subconscious mind, why it works a certain way, how to best connect with it to create changes, the difference between direct and indirect suggestions and how to get the best results for long lasting change in self-hypnosis.
